Very Ghoul

The reason it's been so silent around these parts is I've been busy working on a low budget feature. So busy and knackered have I been that I haven't been able to write anything about it.

But, we did it, it's all in the can and in a few months time it'll pop out the other end of post-production.

It's called "The Ghoul", it's a psychological thriller and it stars Tom Meeten, Alice Lowe, Geoffrey Mcgivern, Paul Kaye, Rufus Jones, Dan Renton Skinner and Niamh Cusack.

Very excited.

Here's a few stills from the shoot. More details to follow.

  1. You'll be pleased to know I am trying to track down the complete cinematic works of Lord Tunley here in New Zealand. While the full box set seems to be unaccountably unavailable, I have got Pixelface and Kill List on order from the local mail DVD rental company, so you can look forward to fat royalty checks imminently. I note they are both Ben Wheatly films - I recently tried to watch A Field In England and eventually decided to give up on it - I who sits through mad period Jean Luc Godard films FOR FUN. I assume lacking his muse (that's you) was the problem.

I'm wondering how to persuade the wife to watch a film called Kill List. Is it possible to dupe her into thinking it is a romantic comedy? Not sure saying, "There's the bloke I once tried to throw into the wee side loch at Stirling!" is gonna be enough enticement for her.
